...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Lingering flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Northern Gilmer County in north central West Virginia...
  Barbour County in northeastern West Virginia...
  Northwestern Randolph County in northeastern West Virginia...
  Southeastern Harrison County in northern West Virginia...
  Northern Lewis County in northern West Virginia...

* WHEN...Until 1230 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Lingering flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other
  low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 911 AM EDT, emergency management reported lingering high water
    issues due to recent heavy rainfall.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Weston, Philippi, Glenville, Audra State Park, Belington, Jackson
    Mill, Stonewall Jackson, Junior, Lost Creek, Jane Lew, Horner,
    Century, Camden, Volga, Galloway, Alum Bridge, Linn, Baldwin,
    Moatsville and Troy.
  - This includes the following highways...
    Interstate 79 between mile markers 92 and 113. Route 33 between
    mile markers 1 and 4.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free,
800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
