...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING
FOR NORTHEASTERN ROANE, CALHOUN, GILMER, SOUTHERN DODDRIDGE,
NORTHWESTERN LEWIS AND SOUTHEASTERN RITCHIE COUNTIES...

At 614 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated earlier thunderstorms that
produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, with additional
light rain showers possible.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Glenville, Grantsville, West Union, Cedar Creek State Park,
  Arnoldsburg, Pullman, Auburn, Tanner, Burnt House, Newberne, Big
  Springs, Coxs Mills, Normantown, Berea, Stumptown, Troy, Mount
  Zion, Shock, Millstone, and Grove.

This includes Route 50 in West Virginia between mile markers 48 and
60.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free,
800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
