...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN JOHNSON COUNTY
THROUGH 930 PM MDT...

At 847 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Powder River Rest Area, which is 29 miles east of Buffalo, moving
northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Johnson County.

This includes Interstate 90 between mile markers 86 and 93.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
