...Elevated Fire Weather Conditions Expected This Afternoon...

Weather conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread in
wildland fuels, including grasses and shrubs.

WHERE: Natrona, Johnson, Fremont and Sweetwater counties.

WHEN: 12 PM to 7 PM Today, Wednesday October 16.

RELATIVE HUMIDITY: 17 to 24 percent; 13 to 17 percent in Johnson
County.

WIND: South to southwest winds 15 to 20 , with gusts up to 30
mph.

TEMPERATURE: Middle 70s to lower 80s east of the Divide; upper 60s
to near 70 degrees in Sweetwater County.

IMPACT: Fire and emergency officials should be aware that weather
conditions will be favorable for the development of significant
wind-driven grass and shrub fires.
