.DISCUSSION...

Expect 8 to 12 mph southwest to west winds from 0600L to 1000L.
Winds are forecast to have a northerly component from 1000L through
1400L before becoming predominately southerly the remainder of the
day. The ridgetops could see winds around 15 mph at times. Dry
weather is expected until 1200L/1300L. Shower and thunderstorm
chances increase to around 80 percent between 1300L and 2000L.
Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of heavy rainfall and
gusty winds of 30 to 40 mph. On Saturday, winds are forecast to be
from the southwest around 7 to 9 mph through 1200L. After 1200L,
winds become more northwesterly around 10 to 12 mph. A similar
pattern is expected Saturday with a dry morning and increased shower
and thunderstorm chances after 1200L.
