.DISCUSSION...

Hot and dry conditions are expected to prevail through much of the
day Wednesday. Winds will be gusty from the southwest through the
day at around 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 at times. Min
humidity percentages are expected to drop into the low 20s through
much of the afternoon and into the evening ahead of a nearing cold
front. The aforementioned cold front is expected to move through
the area sometime between 2100-2400 MDT Wednesday evening.
However, ahead of the front scattered virga showers and dry
thunderstorms are expected to develop during the afternoon and
evening. The first round of showers/storms looks to start
developing between 1300-1600 MDT with a more potent line following
behind and moving through the area around 1600-2000 MDT. Both
rounds of showers and storms look capable of producing erratic
outflow winds in excess of 50 mph. There looks to be little to no
chances for wetting rains with these showers and storms due to
overall dryness of the atmosphere. After the frontal passage,
winds likely prevail from the west/southwest at around 10 to 15
mph with a few gusts near 20 mph at times. Some humidity recovery
is expected post frontal passage with low humidity percentages
returning during the day Thursday. Gusty winds return during the
day Thursday from the southwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts around
30 to 35 mph.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds...
