.DISCUSSION...
The pattern for the next several days could be characterized as one
of a typical summer - morning sun followed by increasing clouds and
scattered late day showers and thunderstorms. After a mostly sunny
Wednesday morning, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms develop
late in the afternoon and move east across the Bighorn Basin. The
best chance for these to cross the fire site will be from 1600 to
2000 Wednesday. Cloud cover may be a bit slow to erode Wednesday
night, so overnight lows are likely to be slightly warmer. Thursday
is much the same with the best chance for showers and storms
coming late in the afternoon into the early evening hours.

.WEDNESDAY...
Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (25-35 percent) through 1300, then
becoming mostly cloudy (50-70 percent) by 1700.
A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1600.
CWR.................0 percent until 1500, then 25 percent by 1700.
Chance of pcpn......Less than 10 percent until 1300, then increasing
to 50 percent by 1700.
Chance of thunder...Less than 10 percent until 1500, then increasing
to 30 percent by 1700.
Max temperature.....Around 80.
Min humidity........34-37 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........Downslope/downvalley wind 4 to 7 mph until 1100,
then becoming east 7 to 12 mph between 1200 and
1400. Occasional late afternoon gusts around
18 mph. Gusty and erratic wind expected
near thunderstorms late in the afternoon.
Ridgetop wind.......Southeast around 10 mph until 1100, then
becoming east around 15 mph between 1200 and 1400.
Mixing height.......Less than 1500 ft AGL until 0900, then gradually
increasing to around 6500 ft AGL by 1500.
Transport winds.....Downslope/downvalley 5 to 8 mph until 1000, then
becoming east to southeast 12 to 17 mph by 1300.
Smoke dispersal.....Poor until 0900, then gradually becoming Good
by 1400.
