...Yellowstone NP and Teton dispatch areas (includes fire weather
zones 140...414...415...and 416)...
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms have already
started this afternoon, mainly over zones 414 and 416 and southern
415. Brief heavy rain and gusty outflow winds of 30-40 mph are
likely with the storms. Convective activity is expected through
about sunset, with some enhanced showers in northern parts of
zones 140 from 1800-2100. Light winds and warm temperatures
overnight will lead to well above normal temperatures on Saturday.
Clouds cover will increase through the day though, with isolated
to scattered thunderstorms returning around 1200 and continuing
through sunset. General winds Saturday afternoon will be 10-15 mph
from the southwest, with higher gusts from the thunderstorms.

With high pressure over the area today, high temperatures in the
lower elevations will climb to the mid to upper 90s. High temps on
Saturday and Sunday will be even warmer from the mid 90s to low
100s. Very warm overnight temperatures in the 60s and low 70s in
the basins will keep abnormal temperatures over the weekend.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected today on the
western sides of the dispatch area today over the Absarokas and
Wind Rivers, and possibly reaching the western foothills of the
basins. Brief heavy rain and gusty outflow winds are expected.
Saturday will see increasing southwest wind of 10-15 mph and
isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms in the mid- to
late-afternoon and early evening. Wind gusts ov 30-45 mph are
possible, with stronger gusts in the northern Bighorn Basin.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms have already developed over SW
WY this afternoon, and will continue through about sunset. Brief
heavy rain and gusty winds can be expected from the storms. Very
isolated storms (less than 10%) are possible elsewhere. High
temperatures are very warm today, and will increase Saturday and
Sunday to the low 90s to low 100s. Afternoon minimum humidities
will drop through the weekend, but not quite to critical levels.
Saturday will see southwest winds increase in the afternoon to
10-15 mph with 20-25 mph gusts. Isolated to scattered showers and
thunderstorms are expected Sat afternoon and evening, potentially
bringing gusty outflow winds of 30-50 mph.
