...Yellowstone NP and Teton dispatch areas (includes fire weather
zones 140...414...415...and 416)...
High pressure over the area continues with very clear skies and
patchy smoke, well above normal temperatures, low humidities, and
relatively weak winds. Some clouds will increase before sunrise
into zone 415 and 140 with light showers possible during the early
morning hours on Wednesday. This weak moisture stream will
continue into the afternoon to bring isolated showers and
thunderstorms to zone 140 and the northern parts of zone 415. West
wind will increase over the higher terrain with gusty wind around
20-25 mph. Wednesday will be a couple of degrees warmer for the
hottest day of the weak. Though a cool front moves through
Wednesday evening, not much change will occur over western WY
expected some isolated showers over zones 414 and 416 on Thursday.

Mostly clear skies with somewhat light winds and very warm
temperatures will continue for the rest of the day. Very dry
conditions are yielding only a bit of cumulus with areas of smoke
around the Bighorn Basin. High pressures continues to dominate on
Wednesday as well after a mild night with poor humidity recovery
in the mountain foothill areas. Wednesday will be the hottest day
of the week with 100s at some basin locations. Winds will remain
on the light side, though gusts could hit 15-20 mph, especially in
zones 286 and 276 where some isolated showers and thunderstorms
Wednesday afternoon could bring more gusty outflow winds. A cool
front will move from southern MT into northern WY late Wednesday
evening to drop temps some, increase humidity, and shift the winds
to more northerly. Chances of precipitation remain small from Wed
night into Thursday.

Most of the dispatch area has clear skies, though partly cloudy
skies are over zones 280, 285, and 281. Some light showers are
possible over 285 this afternoon, though the chances are quite
small. Temperatures remain well above normal into Wednesday, with
near record high temps. Humidities are quite quite low with
foothill areas seeing poor recovery overnight. Winds should
increase somewhat Wednesday afternoon with gusts 15-25 mph for
elevated fire weather conditions as high pressure remains over the
area. A cool front will move into the dispatch area from the WNW
(over SW WY) and north (zone 281) early Thursday morning, to bring
more northerly winds and increase the humidities. Clouds will
increase, though chances of precipitation remain on the low side
(10-15%) overall until Thu evening over zones 280 and 281 where
better chances (30-40%) develop.
