...Yellowstone NP and Teton dispatch areas (includes fire weather
zones 140...414...415...and 416)...
High clouds are moving into western WY right now, with moisture
increasing this evening, bringing in mid-level clouds and some
virga and light precipitation around and after midnight, though
chances are fairly slim. Winds are gusty at the higher elevations,
with some gusty areas in the lower elevations. Humidities are
fairly low as well, leading to elevated conditions through about
2100. A slight chance of showers will remain over west-central WY
through 1200-1500 Thursday, with skies clearing from the west
during the afternoon and winds becoming breezy again. Saturday is
looking to be drier than previously expected, with gusty southwest
winds, and temperatures will be about the same as Friday.

Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will continue for
parts of the dispatch area through about 2100 tonight, especially
for the east slopes and the southern areas. Clouds will increase
overnight from about Cody southward, with isolated light showers
possible from about 0300 to 1800 Friday. West to southwest gusty
winds will again develop Friday afternoon, though humidities will
not be as dry as Thursday. A cool front is still expected to
start pushing into northern WY around 1500 Friday, slowly pushing
southward through the evening and into Saturday evening.
Temperatures will be cooler Saturday over northern WY, but near
normal over the Wind River Basin.

Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will continue this
afternoon and evening through about 2100 for most of the dispatch
area, due to gusty winds and very low humidities (except for lower
winds in Johnson County). Conditions will improve overnight,
especially as clouds increase from west to east through the
afternoon and evening. Very light showers are possible over zone
278 this evening and after 0000, then across zone 289 into zone
280/300 on Friday. Friday afternoon will see different conditions
across the area. Southwest and southern WY will remain warm with
gusty west winds. A cool front will push into northern zone 281
around 1200 Friday, then move southward into zone 280 after 1800,
bringing cooler temps and some lower clouds and light showers.
Humidity recovery should be better for all areas Saturday morning.
