...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS WESTERN NEVADA AND THE EASTERN SIERRA
THROUGH 515 PM PDT...

At 319 PM PDT, strong thunderstorms are ongoing across western
Nevada and portions of the eastern Sierra, increasing coverage
northward throughout the afternoon.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Reno, Carson City, South Lake Tahoe, Fallon, Lovelock, Tahoe City,
Kings Beach, Gardnerville, Virginia City, Boca Reservoir, Twin Lakes,
Lahontan Reservoir, Incline Village, Alpine Meadows, Olympic Valley,
Stampede Reservoir, Bodie, Benton, Bridgeport, and Prosser Creek
Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
