...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PLAYA AREAS NEAR GERLACH
THROUGH 715 PM PDT...

At 652 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Gerlach, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Localized heavy rain. Wind gusts up to 40 mph with sudden
         reductions to visibility due to blowing dust.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could produce areas of blowing dust across
         desert playas.

Locations impacted include...
Gerlach, Gerlach-Empire, Empire Airport, Old Razorback Mountain, and
Empire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
