Afternoon and evening thunderstorms may produce strong outflows up
to 50 mph and abundant lightning along the eastern Sierra,
northeast CA, and western NV. Thursday will see increasing
southwest winds across western NV, leading to 3 to 6 hours of
elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions during the
afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms persist for Thursday afternoon,
mainly for northeast CA and northern Washoe County. Otherwise, dry
conditions with breezy winds each afternoon prevail this week.
