A trough moving into the area today will increase southwest winds
across western NV and eastern Lassen County, leading to 3 to 6
hours of elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions during
the afternoon. Afternoon and evening thunderstorms, mainly for
northeast CA, northern Washoe County, and the inner-basin and ranges
may produce strong outflows and occasional lightning. Some of these
storms could be dry toward the OR border. Gusty winds return Friday
afternoon yielding another round of elevated to locally critical
