.DISCUSSION...
Shower and thunderstorms will continue this afternoon for Mono,
Mineral, and northern Washoe counties. Storms may produce locally
heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning. Diurnal, terrain driven
winds forecasted with breezy afternoon winds outside of any
thunderstorms. Drier, cooler, and breezier southwest flow develops
over the weekend, with isolated fire weather concerns due to winds,
mainly over elevated terrain. By next week, a deep Pacific trough
will move into the area resulting in well below average temperatures
and an increase in shower and storm activity.
