.DISCUSSION...

Strong high pressure aloft will prevent significant rain and mountain snow
through at least the middle of next week. Light showers are possible in
areas near the Oregon border today, otherwise dry conditions with light
winds prevail. A more favorable pattern for winter storms to reach the
region may develop around the middle of the month, but confidence is low.
