Showers and thunderstorms will continue through this afternoon, providing
wetting rains to most of the Sierra and western Nevada. Locally heavy
rainfall may support some areal flooding, especially near and over burn
scars. Drier weather develops this weekend with temperatures remaining
at or below average into early next week.
