...THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN
PERSON...VANCE... WARREN...GRANVILLE...NORTH CENTRAL DURHAM AND
NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 1130 PM EDT...

At 1032 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking thunderstorms with very
heavy rain from north Durham east to Oxford, Henderson, and near
Warrentton, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Rainfall up to 2 inches in 30 minutes, wind gusts up to 40
         mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Henderson, Oxford, Creedmoor, Warrenton, Butner, Franklinton,
Norlina, Kittrell, Rougemont, and Stem.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
