...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL MOORE...SOUTHEASTERN
MONTGOMERY AND NORTH CENTRAL RICHMOND COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 PM EST...

At 925 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 10 miles south of Troy, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, half inch hail and heavy rainfall

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Southern Pines, Carthage, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Whispering Pines,
Pinebluff, Foxfire, Candor, Taylortown, and Norman.

This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 32 and 46.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heav rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
