HALIFAX AND CENTRAL WILSON COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 AM EST...

At 1216 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
along a line extending from 12 miles northeast of Dortches to near
Bailey. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Enfield, Leggett, Whitakers, Pinetops, Tarboro, Conetoe, Elm City,
Scotland Neck, Tar River Reservoir, and Princeville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
