...A NEARLY STATIONARY THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL CUMBERLAND
COUNTY THROUGH 745 PM EDT...

At 653 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm near
Fayetteville. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and locally heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Fayetteville, Fort Liberty, Hope Mills, Eastover, Stedman, and
Vander.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Very heavy rain can be expected due to the slow movement of this
storm. Prolonged heavy rain will result in ponding of water on
roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and minor flooding of
creeks and streams. Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra
caution to avoid hydroplaning.
