This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Numerous showers with a few embedded rumbles of thunder were
occurring over the region late this morning. The showers and
thunderstorms will continue over the region through mid to late
afternoon and then push east out of the region by early evening.

The main risk with any thunderstorms this afternoon will be
locally heavy rainfall, lightning, and gusty outflow winds up to
50 mph. Where sufficient sunshine occurs, one or two strong to
severe storms will be possible, mainly over the Continental
Divide region, and over the far eastern plains, with hail up to
around 1 inch in diameter and localized wind gusts up to 60 mph
possible.

Although odds are low, localized flash flooding could occur if
repeated storms impact the burn scars.

Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms may linger into the
overnight hours along the Continental Divide with lightning and
rounds of light to moderate rainfall possible overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

A few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible across the
area Tuesday, with the main risks being gusty outflow winds to
near 60 mph and hail up to one inch in diameter. Locally heavy
rainfall will also be possible on Tuesday, leading to a low threat
for flash flooding, especially across the southern mountains, where
storms could train through the day.

Warm, dry and breezy conditions will follow for Wednesday and
Thursday with the potential for spotty critical fire weather
conditions across portions of the southeast plains.

Cooler temperatures with increasing chances for showers and
thunderstorms can be expected for the weekend, as another system
moves into the region.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
