This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Slightly warmer today, with high temperatures near 100 degrees
over portions of the eastern plains. Isolated showers and
thunderstorms are expected mid to late afternoon, mainly over and
near the higher terrain. Storms will be capable of producing gusty
outflow winds to 50 mph and frequent lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will be possible
each day. There will be a better chance of showers and
thunderstorms on Monday as moist surface upslope flow will be
over the region. On Tuesday, a surge of monsoon moisture will move
over the region, and this will bring a good chance of showers and
thunderstorms, some producing locally heavy rain, to the
mountains and the adjacent plains. By late in the week, another
cool front is expected, and this will bring a better chance of
showers and storms to the plains.
