Highest amounts are expected over the San Juans, La Garitas, and the southern Sangres, where difficult to impossible travel conditions are likely, especially over mountain passes. Snow and blowing snow will also be possible over the northern Sangres, the central mountains, the Wets, and Pikes Peak today and tonight, where difficult travel will also be possible. For our plains..Showers and thunderstorms are likely today and tonight. One or two strong to severe storms are possible across our far southern border this afternoon, where small hail, gusty winds, lightning, and heavy rain, will be possible. Otherwise, lightning and locally heavy rain will be the primary risks with storms today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday An approaching storm system will continue to bring significant new snow to all of the higher terrain Saturday and Sunday, with the highest amounts expected across the peaks of the eastern San Juan Mts and La Garita Mts. There is the threat of heavy rainfall across the far eastern plains on Saturday, roughly from Crowley County to eastern Las Animas County, and areas east. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
