This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible across the Pikes Peak region
and eastern plains this afternoon, with the main threats cloud to
ground lightning and wind gusts up to 50 mph. One or two strong to
severe thunderstorms will be possible across the far eastern plains
by mid-afternoon, along and east of a line from La Junta to Kim.
These stronger storms will be capable of producing up to one inch
diameter hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Elevated fire danger is forecast across the San Luis Valley this
afternoon, as well as the valley floors of Chaffee, Fremont and
Custer counties, due to increasing winds and continued dry
conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop over the
mountains on Sunday, with the best chance for a storm along the
Continental Divide. Gusty winds to 50 mph, lightning and small
hail will be the main storm threats. Local snow accumulations of 1
to 3 inches will be possible over the higher peaks, especially
above 12000 feet.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected
across the area from Monday into Monday night, before
precipitation tapers off Tuesday morning. Again, gusty winds to 50
mph, lightning and small hail will be the main storm threats, with
some snow possible above 12000 feet.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
