This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Patchy frost is possible across central and southern portions of the
San Luis Valley early this morning.

Increasing southwest flow will bring breezy conditions and well
above seasonal temperatures, as well as, elevated fire conditions to
the far southeast plains this afternoon.

Increasing coverage of showers, with a few embedded thunderstorms,
is expected along and west of the Continental Divide tonight

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected to
move across the higher terrain through the day Saturday, with a
few possible strong storms pushing east across the I-25 Corridor
into the southeast plains late Saturday afternoon and early evening.
The main risk from storms will be lighting and gusty outflow winds
up to 45 mph, with brief moderate to heavy rainfall, small hail
and gusty winds up to 60 mph possible with the strongest storms.
Light snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches may be possible across
the higher peaks above 10,000 feet, with the greatest accumulations
along the Continental Divide.

Temperatures cool behind the weather passing system, with sub
freezing temperatures expected across the San Luis Valley late
Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Care should be taken
to prevent damage to sensitive vegetation and unprotected outdoor
plumbing across the San Luis Valley.

At and below seasonal temperatures with chances of showers and
storms will continue across the region into the middle of next
week.
