This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this
afternoon and evening, with the focus areas likely to be across the
eastern mountains, along the I-25 Corridor and along the southern
border, with activity finally coming to an end this evening over the
southeast corner of the state. The main hazards from any convection
today will be periods of moderate to briefly heavy rain, cloud to
ground lightning, small hail and wind gusts to 40 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Thunderstorm coverage and strength decreases Tuesday through Thursday,
although isolated thunderstorms remain possible each afternoon
and evening through the period, mainly over the mountains. Most of
these storms will be weak and short-lived, producing lightning
and gusty winds but only brief rainfall. Storm coverage increases
from Friday into the weekend, as moisture begins to return to
southern Colorado.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
