This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow, heavy at times, will continue through tonight along the
Continental Divide. Snow will spread east into the Sangre de Cristo
and Wet Mountains this afternoon. Snow will also spread into the
Pikes Peak Region and Palmer Divide overnight behind a cold front.
Slick roadways are possible over the Palmer Divide and across the
higher terrain.

High winds, with gusts near 60 mph will be possible across the
southern Interstate 25 corridor through this afternoon. Those
traveling should prepare for strong cross winds which could topple
high profile or light weight vehicles. The strong winds could
blow down trees and cause power outages.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Snow, heavy at times, across the higher terrain of the Continental
Divide spreads across the high mountain valleys through the eastern
mountains and adjacent plains through the day Wednesday, before
snow diminishes from north to south late Wednesday afternoon and
evening.

The heaviest snow, of one to two feet with locally higher amounts,
can be expected across the Sawatch and Mosquito Ranges, the eastern
San Juan mountains, and the higher elevations of the Sangre de
Cristo and Wet mountains, through Wednesday night. In addition,
moderate to strong westerly winds will create hazardous travel
conditions across the higher terrain, in snow and blowing snow.

Snowfall of 5 to 10 inches can also be expected across the Upper
Arkansas River Valley, the higher elevations of Fremont county,
Pikes Pike and the Rampart Range, and the lower elevations of the
Sangre de Cristo and Wet mountains. Snow accumulations of 3 to 6
inches can be expected for areas along and south of the Palmer
Divide, and along and north of the Raton Mesa, with 1 to 3 inches
of snow possible across the San Luis Valley and the Middle Arkansas
River Valley, with snow of up to an inch possible across the
eastern Plains.

While dry conditions are expected on Thanksgiving Day and through
the rest of the holiday weekend, temperatures are expected to
remain below seasonal levels into early next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be likely over portions of the region.
