.DISCUSSION...Upper level ridging continues to slide south and east
of the region, leading to more south to southwest flow aloft in place
across the Central Rockies. This pattern will allow for increasing
monsoonal flow, and better chances of daily showers and storms over
and near the higher terrain. However, with very warm temperatures
(100-104F), there is a small chance of seeing a brief thunderstorm
across the southeast plains late this afternoon, into the early
evening. Main threats from any storm that can develop across the
plains will be lightning and gusty outflow winds.
