.DISCUSSION...
Upper ridge of high pressure will flatten and shift to the south,
allowing northwest flow aloft to settle in across the state and
the fire area. This shift in the weather pattern will mean cooler
and wetter conditions for the fire.
Persistent northwest flow with embedded waves will then lead to
daily showers and thunderstorms from Saturday into next Friday,
with the greatest chance for wetting rainfall and local flash
flooding from Sunday into Tuesday. Temperatures over the weekend
will fall back toward seasonal averages, with a period of well
below average readings for much of next week.
