.Discussion...
Dry and hot weather is anticipated over the district from today
through Monday. If any storms do form over the district, they will
be high based and likely only produce gusty winds. The best chance
for any storms today through Monday will be in the mountains.
Although it will be hot and dry, meteorological conditions for
extrema fire behavior are not anticipated as 20 foot winds will be
relatively light and diurnally driven.
From Tuesday onward, the monsoon flow will once again redevelop over
the district. Additionally, a cool front will likely push down the
plains, and that will likely increase the chances of wetting rains
over the lower elevations. Some of the rain may be heavy at times
from Tuesday onward, so wetting rains are likely.
Excellent smoke dispersions are forecast by this afternoon across
the district. A return to poor dispersions is forecast overnight.
