...Fire Weather Watch has been issued across the central, southwest
and southeast mountains from Thursday afternoon through Thursday
evening for dry thunderstorms...
.Discussion...
Temperatures will continue warming through the rest of this week,
hitting triple digits over the plains by late afternoon on Thursday.
Meanwhile, dry air will persist over the area for another few days.
Thursday onwards, some meager moisture will start returning to the
mountains, with slowly increasing chances for showers and storms
each day over the terrain. Fire Weather Watch is still in place over
much of the higher terrain for Thursday due to the potential for dry
thunderstorms with lightning, gusty outflow winds and minimal precipitation.
Monsoon moisture will continue to increase as we move into this weekend, with
temperatures slowly cooling closer to seasonal levels.
Smoke dispersions will generally be good or better across the
district both Today and Thursday.
