.Discussion...
Saturday will be hot and dry once again across the district.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible during mid to
late afternoon, mainly over and near the higher terrain. A cold
front will arrive late Sunday afternoon, cooling temperatures closer
to normal as gusty winds and precipitation spread across the area.
Long-range data shows persistent, monsoonal moisture moving into our
mountains by around midweek.
Afternoon smoke dispersions will be fair to good over most of the
district Today, though some areas over the southeast mountains and
the top of the Palmer Divide may stay in the poor to fair range most
of the day. For Sunday, most locations will retain poor to fair
dispersion rates. The mountain valleys will see fair to good rates
in the mid to late afternoon hours, as well as portions of the I-25
corridor and adjacent plains.
