.Discussion...
The weather system that brought beneficial precipitation to
most of the region was located over northwest New Mexico this
afternoon and was moving east. This system will continue to
bring periods of snow to most of the mountains and valleys
the rest of this afternoon and evening. The weather system
should clear the region later tonight.
Dry and mild weather is anticipated tomorrow. On Monday,
spotty critical fire weather conditions will be possible over
the plains as winds will start to pick up and humidity values
will be near critical values over the plains.
During the rest of the forecast period, critical fire weather
conditions are not anticipated.
Starting mid week and lasting into the weekend, we will likely
start to see afternoon and evening thunderstorms return to the
district.
Smoke dispersion will be very good to excellent tomorrow
afternoon and Monday afternoon across all of the district.
