Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
253 PM MDT Sat Oct 19 2024

.Discussion...

Rounds of rain and high elevation snow will continue through Sunday
across the district as the slow moving storm system moves across
the region. The heaviest precipitation will continue to impact
the eastern San Juans, southern Sangre De Cristo mountains and
southern portions of the southeast plains. Winds will increase,
but wet fuels and high humidity values should mitigate the
risk for critical fire weather conditions both Sunday and Monday.
Dry and warmer weather will continue through the work week with
breezy conditions at times over the mountains, though no critical
fire weather days are anticipated due to higher humidity levels.

Most areas will see good afternoon dispersions on Sunday as southerly
winds increase across the district. However pockets of poor
dispersions will continue across the higher mountains under pockets
of precipitation. Dispersions will improve on Monday, especially
eastern areas while the mountains remain fair to poor.
