.Discussion...
Dry conditions are expected across the district today and tomorrow,
with lighter winds today increasing into the weekend. Spotty
critical fire weather conditions will be possible along the I-25
Corridor Saturday due to the stronger winds, but latest snowfall and
fuels info indicate that fuels will likely not carry fire, so no
highlights.
Snow returns to the mountains of the Continental Divide beginning
Sunday afternoon, and lasts well into the upcoming work week. A cold
front drops down into eastern Colorado Sunday night, bringing much
cooler weather to the plains starting Monday. The weather will
remain unsettled with below normal temperatures through next week,
and some light snow will be possible at times for the southeast
plains starting Wednesday.
Ventilation rates are expected to remain Poor across all of the
district today due to the expected light winds. Smoke dispersion is
forecast to be slightly better for Saturday over the higher terrain.
