Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
204 PM MDT Thu Sep 19 2024

.Discussion...

Dry and warm weather will continue across the area through
Friday. RH values will hover near critical thresholds over parts
of the eastern plains. However, winds should stay just below
thresholds and low-level moisture will return to the area Friday,
so we should not require any fire weather highlights at this time.
Some showers and storms will return to portions of the southeast
plains starting later on Friday.

A more potent storm system is expected to move into the district
this weekend, bringing cooler temperatures and widespread
precipitation. The exact storm track and strength is still prone
to change, but for now the heavier rainfall totals favor locations
north of highway 50. Drier but cooler weather will continue into
next week.

Smoke dispersions will be poor tonight and generally very good or
better on Friday.
