.Discussion...
No critical fire weather conditions are expected over the next 7
days.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible across the Palmer
Divide and eastern plains, starting early this afternoon and lasting
into tonight. Then, lingering showers will persist over the
southeast plains into Monday morning. Meanwhile, the mountains will
dry out today and tomorrow, though again no critical conditions are
expected.
Tuesday onwards, each afternoon will see scattered to more
widespread showers and storms across the district. Highest chances
for wetting rains will be over the mountains and along our southern
border, but all areas will have a chance of seeing showers and
storms. Rainfall chances, and therefore flash flooding concerns, are
expected to increase through the week. Temperatures will remain
close to seasonal normals.
Smoke dispersions will be good or better across most areas this
afternoon, dropping into the poor to fair range along the Kansas
border. For Monday, dispersion rates will be good over most of the
higher terrain, and poor to fair along and east of our southeast
mountains and out onto the plains.
