.Discussion...
The combination of incoming tropical moisture and a Pacific storm
system will spread widespread rain into the Continental Divide with
scattered showers spreading into the eastern mountains at times.
The heaviest precipitation will fall across the eastern San Juan
mountains where 2 to 3 inches of rainfall will be possible. Flash
flooding will be possible especially on southwest facing slopes of
this region Friday Night and Saturday. Elsewhere up to an inch of
rainfall will be possible along the Continental Divide, with
considerably less for the southeast mountains and interior valleys.
The southeast plains will remain dry with above normal temperatures.
A brief cool down can be expected late weekend into early next week,
then another warming trend sets in with daily chances for showers
and thunderstorms lingering over the mountains.
Afternoon dispersions will range from poor across the mountains to
fair to good elsewhere on Saturday with pockets of very good across
the far southeast plains. Similar dispersions can be expected for
Saturday except on the southeast plains where dispersions will
improve into the very good to excellent category.
