.Discussion...
A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the Pikes Peak region for
1 PM this afternoon through 9 PM this evening..
Monsoonal moisture will continue to increase across the district
through the rest of the work week, leading to increasing coverage
of daily showers and storms areawide. Storms will be slow moving
and capable of producing heavy rain, leading to an increasing
potential for flash flooding through the end of the work week. The
increased convection will also lead to a cooling trend to at and
below seasonal levels through the rest of the week.
Warmer temperatures and somewhat drier conditions will return into
the weekend.
The increasing coverage of daily showers and thunderstorms will
lead to highly variable afternoon smoke dispersion across
the district through the rest of the work week.
