.Discussion...
Warmer and drier weather will return for Sunday and Monday with
winds on the increase again on Monday. Humidity values will drop
below 15% with the potential for critical fire weather conditions to
return to the San Luis Valley and southeast plains though recent
precipitation may have mitigated fuels sufficiently to dampen this
brief fire weather potential day. A cool front will bring lighter
winds and higher humidity to the region for Tuesday along with
isolated showers and maybe a thunderstorm. Chances for afternoon
and evening showers and thunderstorms increase for mid to late week
across the district. Best chances will be across the southeast and
adjacent plains as easterly upslope flow brings an uptick in low
level moisture from the plains. This should keep critical fire
weather conditions from returning, with temperatures remaining above
normal but below record high values.
Afternoon dispersions will increase into the very good to excellent
categories today and again on Monday as temperatures rebound and
winds gradually increase into Monday.
