.Discussion...
No critical fire weather conditions are expected over the next 7
days. Isolated to scattered showers/storms are expected this
evening, mainly over/near the higher terrain, with most activity
ending by midnight. The mountains will dry out this weekend into
early next week, with isolated to scattered showers and storms
Saturday, then mainly dry conditions Sunday and Monday. Rainfall
chances will increase on the plains from Saturday into Monday, with
the best chance for storms mainly east of I-25. Strong to severe
storms will be possible Saturday and Sunday as well. Pattern then
becomes wetter for the district for much of next week, with showers
and thunderstorms returning to most locations from Tuesday into
Friday. Temperatures the next several days will stay within a few
degrees of seasonal averages at most locations.
Afternoon smoke dispersion will reach good or better levels over
the mountains on Saturday and Sunday, with fair to good values on
the plains.
