.Discussion...
The chances for thunderstorms will gradually increase across the
central and southeast mountains and southeast plains through the end
of the work week with the potential for a few strong to severe
thunderstorms possible across the plains. Thunderstorms will be
more isolated and less likely to produce wetting rains across the
southwest mountains and San Luis Valley where spotty critical fire
weather conditions will be possible at times. Temperatures will
remain around or above normal through the period. A stronger storm
system will approach the area over the weekend bringing warmer and
windier conditions to the area and the potential for more widespread
critical fire weather conditions on Sunday. A better chance for
rain and higher elevation snow may arrive early next week.
Afternoon dispersions will rise into the very good to excellent
categories for all areas on Tuesday but will be slightly lower (Good
to Very good) across the plains on Wednesday.
