.Discussion...
A messy Spring storm system will start to impact the district today
and persist through Saturday, with rain and snow showers impacting
much of the area. Accumulating snowfall is expected along the
mountains, with the heaviest along the Wets, Sangres, and San Juans,
where 1 to 2 feet of heavy and wet snow is expected. A warming and
drying trend then starts Sunday and continues through at least mid
next week. Critical fire weather conditions will start to increase
some mid week next week given the drying pattern and brief periods
of increased winds.
Smoke dispersion rates today will be Fair to Very Good for much of
the district, with pockets of both Poor and Excellent rates. Rates
Saturday will be Poor to Fair across the mountains and valleys, with
Fair to Very Good rates across the plains.
