.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions are not expected through the next
seven days. Near normal temperatures are expected for today, with
slightly warmer than normal temperatures for tomorrow. A pattern
change begins on Saturday, with a series of wintry systems moving
across the region through the middle of next week. On Saturday,
cooler temperatures arrive, along with chances for snow for the
central mountains. A dusting may be possible for the Palmer on
Saturday as well. Colder temperatures and better chances for snow
arrive with a secondary system on Sunday, with yet another system
possible towards the middle of next week.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will vary greatly across the district
today, with generally poor rates for the plains and for the San Luis
Valley, and fair to good rates for the central mountains and Teller
County. Rates improve for all mountain zones on Friday, but remain
poor across much of the lower elevations.
