.Discussion...
Critical fire weather conditions are not expected for the next 7
days. Continued cooler temperatures will remain for the rest of
today and tonight, along with ongoing chances for light rain
showers and weak thunderstorms into this evening as well.
Temperatures warm closer to normal for Wednesday and Thursday for
most areas, with above normal temperatures moving in for Friday
and into this weekend. Continued chances for showers and
thunderstorms are expected across the forecast area for mid-week,
with showers and storms remaining more confined to the mountains
for Friday through Sunday. The least coverage of showers and
storms through the period looks to come in on Saturday, with only
isolated storm chances for our central mountains and possibly the
higher elevations of the Pikes Peak region. The warmest day of the
period looks to be Sunday for most areas.
Afternoon smoke dispersions will vary greatly across the district
for Wednesday, with generally poor to fair rates over eastern
mountains and the I-25 corridor, and good or better rates
elsewhere.
