.Discussion...
No critical fire weather conditions are expected over the next 7
days. Through this weekend, the mountains will start to dry out,
with some scattered showers over the central mountains on Saturday,
and little to no rain on Sunday. Meanwhile, each afternoon will see
scattered to more widespread thunderstorms over the eastern plains,
some of which may become strong to severe. Rainfall chances increase
across the region heading into next week, with showers and
thunderstorms returning to most locations Tuesday through Friday.
Temperatures will also cool off a few degrees, staying around or
just below seasonal normals at most locations.
Smoke dispersions will be good or better over the higher terrain
this afternoon, and fair to poor over the eastern plains.
