Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
218 PM MDT Wed Sep 18 2024

.Discussion...

Dry and warm weather will continue across the area through
Friday. RH values will hover near critical thresholds over parts
of the eastern plains, but winds should stay weak enough to avoid
any fire weather concerns at this time. Some showers and storms
will return to portions of the southeast plains starting later on
Friday.

A more potent storm system is expected to move into the district
this weekend, bringing cooler temperatures and widespread
precipitation. The exact storm track and strength is still prone
to change, but for now the heavier rainfall totals favor locations
north of highway 50. Drier but cooler weather will continue into
next week.

Smoke dispersions are expected to be poor tonight, good to very
good on Thursday, and very good on Friday.
