.Discussion...
An upper disturbance will move across the area through tonight
with mainly mountain showers and thunderstorms. A few may move
into the adjacent Plains this evening. Upper level high pressure
will build across the area this weekend into early next week.
Expect drier conditions Friday into Saturday, with isolated to
scattered showers and thunderstorms. Monsoonal moisture and
increased thunderstorm activity is expected from Sunday into
the middle of next week. Thunderstorms will be capable of wind
gusts 40 to 50 mph, brief heavy rainfall and lightning. Temperatures
will remain seasonal, in the 90s for the lower elevations, and
50 to 70s for the higher elevations.
Poor smoke dispersions are forecast tonight across the district,
becoming mostly very good on Friday.
