.Discussion...
Spotty critical fire weather conditions will be possible along
portions of the I-25 corridor this afternoon as dry southwest
breezes increase this afternoon. Showers overnight have
produced some wetting rains over most of this area which should
mitigate the risk of fire spread. Otherwise, it will be cooler
today with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms possible
across the far eastern plains this afternoon and evening.
Dry and cooler weather will return over the weekend with the
chance for some patchy frosts and freezes, especially Sunday morning.
Temperatures rebound for Monday but cool off again for Tuesday
before trending back to near normal for the middle of next week.
A system passing to the north will bring a slight chance for
showers to the mountain areas Monday and Tuesday.
Breezy conditions today will result in very good to excellent
afternoon dispersions across most of the district. Lighter winds
and cooler temperatures Friday will keep dispersion in the
fair to good range across most of the region tomorrow.
