.Discussion...
Monsoonal moisture will remain in place across the district through
the end of the work week which will lead to daily showers and storms
across the area, with the best coverage over and near the higher
terrain. Storms will be slow moving and capable of producing heavy
rain, leading to the potential for flash flooding. The storm
coverage will keep temperatures generally below seasonal levels
through the rest of the work week, with temperatures expected to
warm back to at and above seasonal levels through the weekend and
into early next week. There will remain chances for showers and
storms into the weekend, with drier conditions for early next week.
Afternoon smoke dispersion will be generally good for lower
elevations and poor to fair for higher elevations today. Rates will
highly variable on Friday, with excellent rates over the central
mountains and fair to poor rates over the Pikes Peak region. Please
see specific zone forecasts below for more information.
