.Discussion...
Cooler and wetter weather will overspread the eastern half of the district
with a good chance of showers and/or thunderstorms each day through Tuesday.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible each day, especially through
Sunday in and near the southeast mountains. Meanwhile, gusty winds and low
humidity will continue across the western mountains and interior valleys,
though green up will mitigate the critical fire weather risks for the time
being.
Chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue through the end of the
work week, expanding westward to include the western mountains and valleys
as another storm system approaches the region and taps better moisture to the
south.
Afternoon dispersions will remain poor across the plains Sunday and Monday
while the mountains rise into the very good to excellent categories.
