.Discussion...
No fire weather concerns across the district through the next
several days. Today will be the driest day across much of the
region, with showers and thunderstorms remaining confined ot the
Continental Divide and San Luis Valley. Lightning, brief heavy
rainfall and gusty outflow winds are possible for western portions
of the district. Upper level high pressure will remain to our west
through late in the week, with west to northwest flow across
Colorado. Multiple embedded waves will lead to daily chances for
showers and thunderstorms, initiating over the Mountains, then
spreading east across the Plains. Temperatures will remain hot
through Tuesday, before cooling off a few degrees Wednesday into
Friday.
Smoke dispersions are forecast to become good to very good this
afternoon across the district, returning to poor overnight.
